Legal Senior Specialist (Alibaba Group)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Senior Specialist to join Alibaba Group’s legal team. In this role, you will support day-to-day legal operations, review contracts, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provide legal advice to internal stakeholders. You will be part of a fast-paced environment, contributing to the safeguarding of the company’s interests while enabling business growth.

key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Support business units with legal advice on commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that may affect the company.
• Assist in managing corporate governance, including maintaining statutory records.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when required.
• Support dispute resolution, claims, and litigation processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and local regulations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, reports, or opinions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in law (master’s degree or LLM is a plus).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in corporate/commercial law or in-house legal department.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written); proficiency in another language is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
