Legal Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Legal Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Alibaba. As a Legal Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities of our legal specialists, ensuring the accuracy and quality of their work. You will play a pivotal role in managing legal projects, formulating dispute resolution strategies, and providing comprehensive legal counsel across various operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of legal specialists, ensuring the accuracy and quality of legal work.
• Oversee active case management and formulate dispute resolution strategies.
• Lead the legal team, offering mentorship and legal advice.
• Enhance legal processes to boost team performance.
• Create, examine, and sanction contracts and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and steer negotiations for high-stakes contracts
• Coordinate and manage legal projects and initiatives, such as compliance audits.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex legal issues.
• Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory updates and compliance.
• Generate regular analytical reports on legal matters and case updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt fulfillment of legal requirements.
• Administer the budget and allocation of legal resources.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a legal role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Advanced contract drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law, compliance, regulatory matters, and risk assessment.
• Proven experience in project management and team supervision.
• Effective leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent presentation and training skills.
• High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and discretion.
